Now, you can try to have a look on the simplified English version of this 18th-century Chinese novel authored by Cao Xueqin.</p> <p>The story is about the rise and decline of Baoyu’s family. Baoyu has a childhood sweetheart, Daiyu. However, he is told to marry Baochai. There are many female friends, relatives and servants surrounding Baoyu and these ladies are being married off or sold one by one. </p> <p>This may not a happy ending story.
